This guide will provide you with a quick step by step instruction on how to remove and replace a SSD Hard Drive in the AdvanPOS Terminal, as well as how to remove and replace the Customer Display connected to the AdvanPOS Terminal.
This User Guide is made for personnel who have purchased their AdvanPOS Terminal from Neotechnology. This guide is made with the assumption that the user has no prior knowledge or I.T skills. This guide is made for the EPOS III AdvanPOS Terminal and for no other POS Terminal.
Replacing a SSD Hard Drive
Removing the Hard Drive from the terminal requires the removal of four screws. Please note a Phillip’s head screwdriver is required.
Step 1: Turn the terminal onto its face so that the rear plate of the terminal is facing upwards as shown in figure1. Then remove the two screws on the right hand side of the rear plate as shown in figure1 and figure2. Then remove the covering plate.
Step 2: Remove the screw highlighted in figure3 and pull the hard drive slot out and twist to the side.
Step 3: Remove the screw highlighted in figure4 and remove the hard drive and slot. Then remove the hard drive from the hard drive slot.
Step 4: Replace the new hard drive by reversing these steps.

Replacing a Customer Display
Replacing the Customer Display from the terminal requires the replacement of four screws. Please note a Phillip’s head screwdriver is required.
Step 1: Disconnected the customer display from the terminal. To do this twist the terminal the face is facing upwards whilst keeping the base plate in place. Then remove the display cable as highlighted in figure5.
Step 2: Turn the AdvanPOS terminal onto its face so the back plate and customer display pole facing upwards as shown in figure6. Then remove the four screws connecting the customer display pole as highlighted in figure6.
Step 3: Remove the Customer display pole with the cables from the terminal.
Step 4: Replace the Customer display pole and cables onto the new terminal by reversing these steps.
